Robot Vacuum Brands: The 2026 Directory

The short answerThe leading robot vacuum brands in 2026 are Roborock, iRobot (Roomba), Shark, Dreame, eufy and Ecovacs, with Narwal, Mova, Samsung, Dyson and others close behind. Roborock has the strongest independent results this year: RTINGS named its Saros 10R the best robot vacuum it has tested. The right brand depends on budget, floors and support in your country.

There are now dozens of robot vacuum brands, and many sell near-identical robots under different names. This directory explains what each major brand is known for, its current flagship or best-known model, and where to read our full review. We focus on brands with products on sale in October 2026.

Brand matters more with robots than with ordinary vacuums, because your robot depends on an app and on the company keeping its servers and spare parts going. Two events show why: Neato closed in 2023 and its cloud service was shut down in 2025, and iRobot went through Chapter 11 restructuring before emerging in January 2026 under its manufacturer Picea.

How we built this robot vacuum brands directory

We have not tested these robots hands-on. Our editorial team reviewed each brand's current line-up on its official site, independent results from RTINGS, Consumer Reports, Tom's Guide, TechRadar and Vacuum Wars, company news, and patterns in owner reviews. Prices are October 2026 snapshots and change often.

The big six robot vacuum brands

  • Roborock. The brand to beat in 2026, with models at almost every price. RTINGS named the Saros 10R its best tested robot in August 2026. Read our Roborock review.
  • iRobot (Roomba). The best-known name. After a Chapter 11 filing in December 2025, it emerged in January 2026 as a privately held subsidiary of Picea, its manufacturer. iRobot says its apps continue to work. Consumer Reports rated the Roomba Max 705 highly in July 2026. Read our Roomba review.
  • Shark. Strong retail presence and bagless docks. Read our Shark review.
  • Dreame. Fast-moving flagships with very high claimed suction, step climbing and the Cyber X stair module. Read our Dreame review.
  • eufy. Anker's home brand, from slim budget robots to full docks, plus the MarsWalker stair carrier shown at IFA 2025. Read our eufy review.
  • Ecovacs. Maker of the Deebot range, known for all-in-one docks. Read our Ecovacs review.

Other robot vacuum brands worth knowing

  • Narwal. Built its name on mopping. The Flow 2 (list $1,499) uses a track mop and two cameras; 9to5Google praised its quiet running, while Tom's Guide felt it underdelivered for the price.
  • Mova. Its P10 Pro Ultra Gen2 appears in Consumer Reports' June 2026 list of best robotic vacuum-mop combos.
  • Samsung. Sells the Bespoke Jet Bot range, and a Samsung Jet Bot model appears in Consumer Reports' June 2026 list of best robotic vacuum-mop combos.
  • Bissell. Pet-focused cleaning brand. Its FlexClean FurForce 4270L appears in Consumer Reports' June 2026 list of best robotic vacuum-mop combos.
  • Dyson. Better known for cordless vacuums, it now sells the Spot+Scrub Ai robot vacuum and mop. Reviews have been mixed on value. Read our Dyson review.
  • Miele. The German appliance maker sells the Scout RX3 range. It is a niche choice next to the big robot specialists.
  • SwitchBot. Smart-home gadget maker with compact robots such as the K11+, which uses LiDAR and a dock rated for up to 90 days.
  • TP-Link Tapo. The networking company's Tapo brand sells low-cost LiDAR robots such as the RV30 Max Plus, which Wirecutter has recommended as a value pick.
  • Eureka. Value-focused brand; ZDNet gave the Eureka E20 Plus its Editors' Choice award.
  • Xiaomi, Wyze and Lefant. Budget-friendly brands whose range and availability vary a lot by country. Check local support and spare parts before you buy.

Which robot vacuum brand is most reliable?

No independent source in 2026 publishes a clear, current reliability ranking for every robot vacuum brand. What you can check:

  • Company stability. Neato's closure and cloud shutdown left owners with robots that only work via the start button, according to 9to5Mac. Larger, established brands carry less of this risk.
  • Spare parts. Make sure bags, brushes, filters and batteries are sold in your country.
  • Warranty and support. Buy from the brand or an authorised retailer.
  • Owner reviews over time. Look for reviews posted months after purchase, not just first impressions.

Is Shark or Roomba better?

It depends on what you value. Shark's bagless docks save on bags, and its robots are common in high-street shops. iRobot's Roomba Max 705 Vac has strong Consumer Reports results and camera-based avoidance of cords and pet waste, but no mop. For a full side-by-side comparison, see our robot vacuum comparisons.

Frequently asked questions

Which robot vacuum brand is best?

In 2026, Roborock has the strongest independent results, with RTINGS naming the Saros 10R the best robot vacuum it has tested. iRobot, Dreame, eufy, Ecovacs and Shark all make excellent models at different prices.

What are the most popular robot vacuum brands?

Roborock, iRobot (Roomba), Shark, eufy, Dreame and Ecovacs are the most widely sold, with Narwal, Mova, Samsung and Dyson also well known.

Which brand of robot vacuum is most reliable?

There is no up-to-date independent reliability ranking for every brand. Choose an established brand with easy-to-buy spare parts, a clear warranty and good long-term owner reviews.

Is Shark or Roomba better?

Shark is better if you want a bagless dock. Roomba is the stronger choice if you value independent lab results and camera avoidance; Consumer Reports rated the Roomba Max 705 highly in 2026.

Is iRobot still in business?

Yes. iRobot filed for Chapter 11 in December 2025 and emerged in January 2026 as a privately held subsidiary of Picea, its manufacturing partner. It remains based in Massachusetts.

What happened to Neato robot vacuums?

Neato closed in 2023. In 2025 its owner ended the cloud service early, so app control and room cleaning stopped working, according to 9to5Mac. The robots can still be started with the button.
