Roborock is a Beijing-based company that started out building robots sold under Xiaomi's name and now sells under its own brand worldwide. It makes more models than almost anyone, from sub-$300 Q series vacuums to $1,600 Saros flagships with robotic arms and legs that climb thresholds.
We have not tested Roborock robots. This review is based on Roborock's published specifications, independent reviews and lab results (Vacuum Wars, Expert Reviews, RTINGS, Tom's Guide) and patterns in owner feedback. Below we explain the three product families, pick the models worth buying, and cover the app, privacy, warranty and the 2026 US FCC rule. For a head-to-head with the best-known rival, see Roborock vs Roomba.
| Model | Price | Suction | Navigation | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Saros 20 | around $1,599 / £919 | 36,000 Pa | 3D sensors + camera | Flagship |
| Qrevo Edge 3 Pro | around $1,499 | 36,000 Pa | Retractable LiDAR + camera | Edges, corners |
| Saros 10R | around $899 | 19,000 Pa | 3D sensors + camera | Clutter, pets |
| Qrevo 2 Pro | around $649 | 20,000 Pa | LiDAR + structured light | Most homes |
| Qrevo Curv 2 Flow | around $699 | Not headlined | LiDAR | Roller mopping |
| Saros 10 | around $599 | 22,000 Pa | Retractable LiDAR | Value premium |
| Q10 S5+ | around $279 | 10,000 Pa | LiDAR | Budget |

Verdict: The Saros 20 is one of the most capable robot vacuums sold today. Expert Reviews' only real complaint was cost, and it suggested cheaper rivals offer around 90% of the ability for half the price. Buy it on discount if you want the best.

Verdict: Launched at IFA in September 2026, the Qrevo Edge 3 Pro pairs flagship suction with a LiDAR sensor that retracts. Vacuum Wars named it Roborock's best premium all-rounder. It is the safer flagship choice if you like LiDAR mapping.

Verdict: At its current sale price the Saros 10R is one of the best-value premium robots. Pick it over the Saros 20 unless you need the extra climbing and suction.

Verdict: The Qrevo 2 Pro is the sweet spot of the range. It does everything most people need, and independent reviewers repeatedly point to it as the value benchmark.

Verdict: Pick the Curv 2 Flow if mopping matters more than vacuuming. For mainly carpeted homes, the Qrevo 2 Pro is the better buy.

Verdict: At around $599, the Saros 10 is a bargain for a former flagship. It suits people who mainly vacuum and mop lightly.

Verdict: If you mostly need vacuuming, the Q10 S5+ is one of the cheapest ways to get LiDAR mapping and a self-emptying dock. See our best budget robot vacuum guide for rivals.
Vacuum Wars notes that most older S series models (such as the S8) appear to be retired. They still show up at discount, but newer Qrevo models usually beat them.
Roborock suits almost anyone who wants strong all-round cleaning and an app with fine control over rooms, suction and mop settings. It is a particularly good fit for smart home users: owners on the Home Assistant forum consistently rate Roborock as easier to automate than Roomba, and the Saros 20 supports Matter.
It suits you less if you want simplicity. With around 30 current models listed by Vacuum Wars, many sold only through one retailer, it is easy to pay more for a near-identical robot. Our advice is to pick the family first, then compare the two or three models in it at today's prices.
Not any more in practice. Roborock's early robots were sold under Xiaomi's Mi brand, and Xiaomi was an early backer. Roborock now designs, markets and supports robots under its own name, with separate regional stores in the US, UK, Europe and elsewhere. If you see a cheap Xiaomi-branded robot, it is not the same as a current Roborock.
The Roborock app is one of the strongest in the category, with multi-floor maps, no-go zones, room-specific settings and camera-based obstacle photos on supported models.
On privacy, Roborock's Trust Center says:
These are Roborock's own statements. Sensible steps still apply: use a strong Wi-Fi password, keep firmware updated and turn off camera features you do not use.
Roborock's US product pages list a 1-year limited warranty with an optional extended plan, plus 30-day returns. Customer service gets mixed reviews on the Roborock subreddit, with recurring complaints about repair times after the warranty ends, so an extended warranty is worth considering on flagship models.
In the US, the FCC added foreign-produced advanced robots to its Covered List on 28 July 2026. Roborock models already authorised, including those on this page, can still be sold, and software updates are allowed until at least 1 January 2029. Future Roborock models need an FCC Conditional Approval to launch in the US. As of mid-October 2026, Vacuum Wars reported that no robot vacuum brand had received one. UK and European buyers are not affected.
We did not test these robots. We started from Roborock's full 2026 line-up, then weighed independent review results (Vacuum Wars ratings and awards, Expert Reviews, Tom's Guide), recurring themes in owner reviews, and current US and UK prices. We picked one model per real-world need and skipped near-duplicate retailer variants.
Roborock remains the brand to beat. It leads on suction, navigation and dock features at nearly every price point, and its app is excellent. The catch is a confusing range and an average warranty. For most people, the Qrevo 2 Pro is the one to buy. Step up to the Saros 10R on sale for better obstacle avoidance, or the Saros 20 if you want the best regardless of cost.
For most buyers, yes. Independent reviewers regularly rank Roborock among the best value robot vacuums, especially mid-range models like the Qrevo 2 Pro and discounted Saros 10R.
Roborock began by making robots sold under Xiaomi's brand and Xiaomi was an early investor, but Roborock now sells and supports its own branded products worldwide.
Reviewers usually favour Roborock for suction, mopping and obstacle avoidance per dollar. iRobot's 2026 Roombas have narrowed the gap. Our comparison page covers the details.
Download the Roborock app, sign up with an email address or phone number, choose your region carefully (it decides which data centre stores your data), then add your robot by following the pairing steps.
Roborock's US product pages list a 1-year limited warranty with an optional extended warranty. Terms differ by country, so check the store you buy from.
Not for models already authorised. The July 2026 rule blocks new foreign-produced robot models unless the maker gets a Conditional Approval. Existing models keep receiving updates until at least 2029.
