This policy explains how we handle personal data when you use Best Robots Compared.
Who we are
The data controller is WDL Digital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12944648), registered office 124 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX.
What we collect and why
- Contact messages. Your name, email and message, so we can reply. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
- Quote requests. Your name, work email, organisation, phone (optional), country and requirements. With your consent, we share these with up to three relevant suppliers so they can contact you about your request. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time by contacting us.
- Price drop alerts. Your email address and the robot you chose, so we can tell you when its price drops. Legal basis: consent. Every alert email has an unsubscribe link.
- Waitlists. Your email address and the robot you chose, so we can tell you when it goes on sale. Legal basis: consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Compare list. The robots you add to compare are stored only in your own browser, not sent to us.
- Analytics. If we use analytics, we collect information about how pages are used. Where the law requires consent for analytics cookies, we ask first.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address to keep the site secure.
Affiliate links
Retailers such as Amazon may set their own cookies when you click our links. Their privacy policies apply.
How long we keep data
Contact messages and quote requests: up to 24 months, then deleted unless needed for a legal reason.
Who we share data with
Hosting and form providers, and, for quote requests you consent to, the suppliers we introduce you to. We do not sell personal data.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, limit it, or withdraw consent. Contact us through our contact page or email hello@bestrobotscompared.com. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
