Robot Vacuum Black Friday Guide: When to Buy and How to Spot a Real Deal

Often, but not always. Black Friday brings the largest number of discounts at once, and robot vacuum brands compete hard. Coverage from The Verge in November 2025 described savings of up to $1,300 on some Roborock and eufy models before Black Friday. eufy's own Black Friday page listed discounts of several hundred dollars on its premium robots.

However, big price cuts happen all year. In October 2026, for example, Roborock's US store listed the Qrevo Curv at $849.99 (from $1,599.99) and the Saros 10R at $899.99 (from $1,599.99). iRobot UK listed the Roomba Max 705 Vac with AutoEmpty dock at £279 (from £699). Those are Black Friday-style prices outside Black Friday.

• Fast product cycles. Major brands launch new models at CES in January and IFA in September, plus mid-year. Each launch pushes older models down.
• High launch prices. Flagships often launch at $1,500 or more and settle much lower within months.
• Intense competition. Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, eufy, Narwal, Shark and iRobot all chase the same buyers.

The result is that last year's flagship is often the best value. Our best robot vacuum list includes several models that are well below launch price.

Which?, the UK consumer group, analysed 227 Black Friday deals from major UK retailers during the 2023 sales period. It found that 92% were the same price or cheaper at other times of the year, and 14 deals used a 'was' price the retailer had not charged at all in the previous year. Its advice applies to robot vacuums too:

1. Check price history. Use a tracker such as CamelCamelCamel (Amazon) or PriceRunner (UK) to see what the robot has actually sold for.
2. Ignore the 'was' price. Compare against the lowest price in the last few months, not the launch price.
3. Compare retailers. Brand stores, Amazon and big-box shops often match each other.
4. Check the exact model. Brands sell near-identical names, with and without docks, or with 'Plus', 'Pro' or 'Ultra' suffixes. Make sure the deal includes the dock you want.
5. Watch for older models dressed as new. A big discount on a model that is two generations old may not beat a smaller discount on a current one.

• The price is at or near the lowest you can find in recent price history.
• It includes a self emptying dock if you want one (see our self emptying guide).
• The model is still supported, with spare bags, brushes and filters easy to buy.
• The seller is the brand or an authorised retailer, so the warranty is valid.

Buy now if a model you want is already at or near its lowest recent price, or if your old vacuum has died. Wait if the robot you want is a new launch at full price, because recent models usually see their first big cut in the next major sale. eufy's Black Friday guide, for example, said several of its new models would be discounted for the first time on Black Friday.
