There are now dozens of robot lawn mower brands, and new ones appear every season. Some, like Husqvarna, have sold robot mowers for decades. Others, like Mammotion and Segway Navimow, grew fast by selling wire-free mowers that need no cable around the lawn.
This page sums up each major brand: what it does well, what it costs and where to read more. We have not tested these mowers ourselves; our summaries draw on manufacturer specifications, independent reviews and owner rating patterns. For model picks across all brands, see our best robot lawn mower guide.

Verdict: Choose Husqvarna for service and track record rather than value. Read our full Husqvarna review.

Verdict: The most capable slope climber from a mainstream brand. Read our full Mammotion LUBA review.

Verdict: The best-value hill climber for small gardens. Read our full Worx Landroid review.

Verdict: A simple, wire-free choice for medium gardens, particularly where satellite signal is poor.
Segway Navimow sells 14 models in the US alone, from the $799 i105 to the 2.5-acre X390. Independent reviewers at PCWorld, TechRadar and Notebookcheck all recommend at least one model. Edge cutting is the common weak spot. Read the Navimow review.
Husqvarna sells Automower robots in both regions, with wire-free iQ models in the US and V and NERA models in the UK. It costs more but has the widest dealer network. Read the Husqvarna review.
Mammotion makes the LUBA all-wheel-drive mowers and cheaper YUKA models. The LUBA 3 AWD climbs 80% slopes and combines laser, satellite and camera navigation. The LUBA 4 was announced in September 2026 but is not yet on sale. Read the Mammotion review.
Worx sells the Landroid range. Its Vision Cloud models need no wire or antenna and start under £700 in the UK. Decks are narrow, so big lawns take longer. Read the Worx review.
Nobody publishes independent long-term reliability data that ranks robot mower brands. Husqvarna has the longest history, but owner ratings on its own US site average 3.6 to 4.2 out of 5 depending on model. Newer brands often show higher ratings on their own stores, which can be selective. Our advice: favour brands with a two-to-three-year warranty, replaceable batteries (a Which? requirement for its Best Buys) and easy access to spare parts in your country.
In late July 2026, the US Federal Communications Commission added foreign-made advanced robotic devices to its Covered List. Consumer Reports and Techlicious report that this blocks new robot mower and vacuum models made abroad from getting US approval, while models already approved can still be sold and updated. Most brands on this page make their mowers outside the US, so expect fewer brand-new launches in US stores for now. UK buyers are not affected.
We have not tested these mowers. We used manufacturer product pages, independent reviews and best lists (TechRadar, PCWorld, Notebookcheck, Expert Reviews, Which?, Consumer Reports, PCMag, CNET and Wirecutter as cited in search results), owner ratings on brand and retailer sites, and price checks in October 2026.
There is no single best brand. Segway Navimow offers the best range for the money, Husqvarna the best dealer support, Mammotion the best slope ability and Worx the best value for small lawns.
Segway Navimow, Mammotion, Worx Vision Cloud, Eufy, Ecovacs GOAT, Sunseeker and Mova all sell wire-free mowers. Husqvarna sells both wire-free (iQ, V, NERA) and older wired models.
Husqvarna has better dealer support, while Segway Navimow usually gives you more coverage and features for the money. See our compare page for a head-to-head.
Many of the best-reviewed mowers, including Segway Navimow, Mammotion and Worx models, come from companies based in China, and independent reviewers rate them highly. US buyers should note the 2026 FCC rule may limit new model launches.
Husqvarna, Segway Navimow, Mammotion and Worx all sell in both, though model names and line-ups differ by country. UK models are rated in square metres and US models in acres.
