Segway Navimow Review 2026: Which Navimow Robot Mower Is Right for You?

The short answerSegway Navimow makes wire-free robot mowers for almost every lawn size. For most US yards up to an acre (about 4,000 m²) the Navimow X430 at around $2,499 / £2,499 is the standout, with all-wheel drive and 84% slope rating. Smaller gardens are better served by the cheaper i2 range.

Segway Navimow is the robot mower arm of Segway-Ninebot, the scooter maker. It was one of the first brands to sell wire-free mowers to the mass market, and its range has grown fast. In October 2026 the US store lists 14 models across five series, from a $799 starter mower to a $4,499 machine rated for 2.5 acres.

We have not tested Navimow mowers ourselves. This review draws on Segway's specifications, independent reviews from PCWorld, TechRadar, Notebookcheck and Expert Reviews, and price checks at US and UK retailers. For the wider market, see our best robot lawn mower guide.

  • Wide 17 in deck mows quickly (rated around 5,382 sq ft, or 500 m², per hour)
  • PCWorld found navigation dependable on a complicated lawn
  • Network RTK means no antenna to install in covered areas

Cons

  • Big and heavy at about 64 lb (29 kg)
  • Needs the included antenna where network RTK is not available
  • Connect+ service costs $32.90 a year after the first year in the US

Verdict: PCWorld called the X430 expensive but very capable for large, difficult lawns. It is the Navimow to buy if you have slopes or an acre to cover and want minimal babysitting.

Segway Navimow i2 LiDAR (i215 LiDAR US / i208 LiDAR UK)
Best Navimow for tree-lined gardens

Segway Navimow i2 LiDAR (i208, i215, i220)

Pros

  • No RTK antenna to install
  • LiDAR keeps working under trees where satellite mowers can struggle
  • Notebookcheck praised reliable navigation and a good app
  • Built-in 4G with one year of free data in the UK

Cons

  • Notebookcheck measured a wide uncut strip (about 10 cm) along edges
  • Standby power use was higher than expected in Notebookcheck's test
  • Some UK variants were sold out in October 2026

Verdict: The i2 LiDAR is the simplest Navimow to set up and the best choice for gardens with heavy tree cover. Expect to trim edges by hand more than with some rivals.

Segway Navimow i2 AWD (i206, i210)
Best budget Navimow for bumpy lawns

Segway Navimow i2 AWD (i206, i210)

Best for: Small, uneven gardens up to about a quarter acre (1,000 m²)

Noise
59 dB(A)

Pros

  • All-wheel drive at a low price
  • Camera recognises over 150 object types, says Segway
  • Three-year device warranty in Segway's listings

Cons

  • Narrow 18 cm cutting width means longer mowing sessions
  • Manual height adjustment
  • Short runtime on the i206 (about 60 minutes)

Verdict: The i2 AWD brings all-wheel drive to small lawns for under $1,100. Its narrow deck makes it slow, so it suits small, bumpy gardens rather than open lawns.

Segway Navimow X3 series (X330, X350, X390)
Best Navimow for very large, flat lawns

Segway Navimow X3 series (X330, X350, X390)

Lawn size
X330: 1 acre (UK 3,000 m²); X350: 1.5 acres (5,000 m²); X390: 2.5 acres

About 160 to 200 minutes

  • Well-designed app with fine control

Cons

  • Two-wheel drive, so not ideal for rough or very steep ground
  • Large and heavy
  • Top model is expensive

Verdict: TechRadar strongly recommended the X3 for large, fast-growing lawns. If your big lawn is mostly flat, an X3 covers more ground per pound or dollar than the X4.

Segway Navimow i105 (i105N US / i105E UK)
Cheapest way into Navimow

Segway Navimow i105

Best for: Small, flat lawns up to an eighth of an acre (about 500 m²)

Price
around $799 (US list price, Oct 2026); UK i105E listed at £749 by Which?
Lawn size
0.125 acre (about 500 m²)
Slope

Navigation
RTK satellite positioning with antenna, plus camera
Cutting width
7 in (18 cm)
Cutting height
0.8 to 2.4 in (20 to 60 mm)
Noise
58 dB(A)

Pros

  • Wire-free mowing at an entry-level price
  • Also available on the Navimow Flex rental plan in the US
  • Quiet

Cons

  • Antenna needs a clear view of the sky (Consumer Reports notes this in the instructions)
  • Only suits small, gentle lawns
  • Short runtime

Verdict: The i105 is a sensible first robot mower for a small, open lawn. If trees shade most of your garden, pay more for the i2 LiDAR instead.

Segway Navimow range explained

Navimow groups its mowers into series. Here is what each one is for:

  • i1 (i105, i110): entry-level, small lawns, satellite positioning with an antenna.
  • i2 AWD: small mowers with all-wheel drive for bumpy ground.
  • i2 LiDAR: uses a laser sensor and camera instead of satellites, so there is no antenna to install.
  • H1 (H800-VF, H1500-VF, H3000-VF) and H2 (H210, H220): mid-range models. Segway lists H2 with an AI navigation system but publishes few details on its US page.
  • X3: big, fast two-wheel-drive mowers for large lawns.
  • X4 (X430, X450): four-wheel drive with 84% slope rating.

Most Navimow models use RTK, short for real-time kinematic. It is a way of correcting satellite positioning to within a few centimetres, either through a small antenna in your garden or through a phone-network service called network RTK.

Are Segway Navimow mowers any good?

Independent reviewers are mostly positive. PCWorld praised the X430's navigation on a complicated lawn. TechRadar gave the X3 series 4.5 out of 5 for performance and 5 out of 5 for its app. Notebookcheck said the i2 LiDAR Pro has more strengths than weaknesses, with reliable navigation and good off-road ability.

The recurring weak point is edge cutting. Notebookcheck measured roughly a 10 cm uncut strip along borders on the i2 LiDAR, and reviewers note the X4 leaves fine detail to you. Owner discussions on Reddit also mention that path planning can look random compared with some rivals. Plan to run a strimmer along edges every few weeks.

In the 48 contiguous US states, Segway offers Navimow Flex, a monthly rental plan. In October 2026 it costs $100 a month for the i105n and $130 a month for the i110n, including blades, support and a warranty while you subscribe. You can cancel by returning the mower.

Over a full season this costs more than buying an i105 outright, so it suits people who want to try a robot mower before committing. See our robot lawn mower cost guide for the full maths.

Segway Navimow vs Husqvarna and Mammotion

Navimow usually undercuts Husqvarna for the same lawn size. The one-acre, all-wheel-drive X430 costs around $2,499, while Husqvarna's half-acre 410 iQ is around $2,599. Husqvarna's advantage is its dealer network.

Mammotion's LUBA 3 AWD claims a similar slope rating (80%) and adds LiDAR to its satellite positioning, which can help under trees. The X430 has a wider cutting height range, up to 4 in. Our Husqvarna vs Segway Navimow comparison goes deeper.

Buying a Navimow in the US in 2026: the FCC rule

In late July 2026 the US Federal Communications Commission added foreign-made advanced robotic devices to its Covered List. According to Consumer Reports and Techlicious, this blocks new models from getting the approval they need to be sold in the US. Models already approved, including the current Navimow range, can still be sold, and mowers already in homes keep getting updates.

The practical effect is that some newer Navimow models shown at trade shows may not reach US stores. UK buyers are not affected by this rule.

How we chose

We have not tested Navimow mowers. We used Segway Navimow's US and UK product and spec pages, independent reviews from PCWorld, TechRadar, Notebookcheck and Expert Reviews, Consumer Reports' tested-models list, and UK retailer listings. Prices were checked in October 2026 and can change week to week.

Frequently asked questions

Are Segway lawn mowers any good?

Independent reviews are mostly positive about navigation, app quality and value. PCWorld, TechRadar and Notebookcheck all recommend at least one Navimow model. The main shared complaint is that they leave an uncut strip along edges.

What is the price of the Segway Navimow X4 robot lawn mower?

In October 2026 the X430 is around $2,499 in the US and £2,499 in the UK. The larger X450 is around $2,999 in the US.

What is the least expensive Segway Navimow?

The i105 is the cheapest at a list price of around $799 in the US, and Which? lists the UK i105E at £749. Sale prices can be lower.

Does Segway Navimow need an antenna?

Most models use RTK satellite positioning, which needs either the included antenna or network RTK where Segway offers it. The i2 LiDAR models use a laser sensor and camera instead, so they need no antenna.

Can you rent a Segway Navimow instead of buying one?

Yes, in the 48 contiguous US states. Navimow Flex costs from $100 a month (i105n) or $130 a month (i110n) in October 2026, with blades, support and warranty included, and you can cancel by returning the mower. It is not offered in the UK.

How long does a robot lawn mower last?

Manufacturers commonly claim 5 to 10 years with good care, but there is no independent long-term data yet for wire-free models like Navimow. Batteries usually wear out first, and Segway lists a three-year device warranty and two-year battery warranty on some i2 models.
